Implementation of the celebration of ‘’Danveer Ranada Prasad Shaha Memorial Gold Medal Award Giving Ceremony” was an experience unlike any other! At this prestigious occasion of the 86th founding anniversary of Kumudini Welfare Trust, we, Spellbound Leo Burnett, featured two documentaries on the life and works of Ranada Prasad Shaha and the 86-year journey of Kumudini Welfare Trust. As well as, the students of the Bharateswari Homes staged colorful display and cultural function in that occasion.
The HPM Sheikh Hasina was addressing the function marking the distribution of the “Danveer Ranada Prasad Shaha Memorial Gold Medal”; while inaugurated the celebration function for 86 years of the Kumudini Welfare Trust services, as the Chief Guest at Kumudini Complex in Mirzapur, Tangail on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Sheikh Rehana, younger daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was present as the Special Guest at the function.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over “Danveer Ranada Prasad Shaha Smarak Gold Medal” to four eminent personalities including legendary political leader and former prime minister of erstwhile Pakistan Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy (posthumous), and National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam (posthumous). Two other recipients of the gold medal are Nazrul expert and researcher and language veteran National Professor Rafiqul Islam and eminent painter Sahabuddin Ahmed.
Ranada Prasad Shaha’s, popularly known as RP Shaha, contribution to the society was immense. From healthcare to education, all the work he did in his lifetime was solely for a benevolent purpose.
