Spellbound Leo Burnett has been working with the youth of Bangladesh for years now, with the single aim of enabling the youth for the future and also making them productive, energized and responsible. Spellbound Leo Burnett has been working with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and hosts many events to make the dream of the great Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a reality.
The previous year, Spellbound Leo Burnett partnered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to organize Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champ for the first and the event was a huge success with over 3500 students participating in the tournament from over 70 universities. Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2019 had 10 major events and those were football, cricket, swimming, athletics, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, cycling, and badminton.
With the amazing response from the previous event, Spellbound Leo Burnett partnered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports once again and is organizing Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champs 2020, but this time making it even bigger with 102 universities participating in the event; over 6000 participants among which 1200 of them are female. There will be 12 sports disciplines in the event this time. The addition of kabaddi and chess with the lineup of disciplines from the previous year makes this the biggest university level sports event in the nation.
The theme of Bangabandhu Inter-University Sports Champ 2020 this time is the great saying of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, “To make a golden Bengal, we need golden people”. The event started on the 1st of March with a grand opening where different musical bands from different universities were allowed to perform on stage along with one of the biggest musical sensation in the country, James. The event will go on for over a month.
By upholding “Creativity has the power to transform human behavior”, Spellbound Leo Burnett has been working continuously with this type of youth engaging program.
